I took these photos 2 weeks ago so they are behind the times. Many changes happen in 2 weeks. We haven't driven past to see the changes but a lot of landscaping has been done. For some reason the photo was cropped so you can't see that we are out in the country. The cross at the high peak is in the same position as the one inside.
The building is not very large but will hold between 200 and 225 for worship services. The side wings don't even show. Sure don't know why blogger did that.

This wood panel is below the cross and behind it is the sacristy and room for choir robes. The altar will be in front of this. The dedication is set for September 13th so there is a lot of activity going on. The office will be moved to the site this Sat. We are all so excited to have our own building. We've been in rented space for a long time. While that space has been very good it will be nice to plan activities any day of the week at our own building. One Bible Study meets at an apartment club house and another at Panera's, book club meets at a book store etc.
See that little spot behind my cutting table? Have that yet to finish plus the 3 doorways. Today I decided that it was a good day to stay off my knees!!
This is the flannel quilt I finished last week. It is very warm so should help keep the young couple warm in their tent while camping this fall. The wedding is Saturday.

Wow, the church building is really coming along. I'm sure that everyone is quite excited! Have you been in borrowed space still at the Catholic church or have you been at a school? I couldn't remember. It will be nice to have potlucks that you can bring "nuts" again!

We started out at a local public elementary school and 10 years ago moved to a new Catholic elementary school. The chapel is like a regular church scantuary and has really felt "like church".
Yes it will be nice not to have to work with the "no nuts" at potlucks. Of course that has finally gotten etched in my brain now and I've been remembering.
