Old news from last week.

Worked outside a couple days last week. So much more to do though. The night time temperature has been in the high 30's so I haven't wanted to purchase bedding plants yet. I'm sure anxious to start planting the annuals.

Wednesday Linda and her family arrived after spending time near Detroit with Phil's family. On Thursday we went to Fennville to the FennValley Winery. After some taste testing most of the purchases were fruit wines...cherry, blueberry etc. We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Fennville. All seven of us had burritos. The waitress thought that was so funny. She had never had so many burrito orders at one table before. They were huge and 5 of us brought half of our order home.

Our next stop was to Saugatuck. We did some wandering around at the shops and then made an important stop at Kilwin's. Just looking at the picture makes my mouth water!! Linda bought peanut butter, turtle and double chocolate and it didn't last very long.
On Friday Jerry and I stayed home.It had been too much walking for Jerry. He fell on the ice a couple months ago and now also has a hip problem. He is to get some special treatment next week that we hope will get rid of the pain.
The rest of the group went to Muskegon. They went onto the submarine docked there and visited a few other tourist spots. They've also gone to a Lake MI beach whenever one was close. For those who don't know about MI I must say that we have wonderful sandy beaches.

This is the quilt from the last post. This is the 4th one I've made for Missy from AZ. The 1st was a baby quilt, next one when she was 10, then 17, and now 27 years.
They've all been pretty much the same except for the size. This one is on point and they all have the eyelet trim. The eyelet is the most important!!
