Where has the week gone..........

So much has happened in just a week. First, an update on Missy. She was supposed to have the 1st temporary grafting yesterday but for some reason didn't. She was in surgery 1 hr. and 45 min. while the Dr. cut off the eschars....thick crusty surfaces of the 3rd degree burns. She may have surgery again this week. She had a fever a few days but hasn't the last couple days. It is all a very slow process. Some of Linda's 1st degree burns became 2nd degree by the 72 hour. She has an antibiotic cream to use on the spots.

Bill's back surgery was successful. He is walking with no pain. He had surgery on Tuesday and was here for Christmas Eve!!! He could be on his feet or walking but wasn't supposed to do much sitting. We had such a nice time with the MI family but conversation always seemed to turn to wondering how everything was going in Phoenix. And, how Benjamin was doing on his trip to China...his first Christmas away from home.

The weather was awful again. The church where Jerry was to conduct the Christmas Eve service was cancelled again. The roads were so icy and the visibility from blowing snow was bad.

Christmas Day Anja experimented with a new hair style!!! We (her folks and both sets of grandparents) were visiting over coffee. She had just walked by the table with her dolly in the new stroller. Next thing we heard Soren yell. It wasn't an awful lot of hair she cut but it I guess with her dark hair on the floor it looked pretty bad. It is hard to keep a straight face at a time like that. She looked pretty stricken!!! Tam has been trying to let the bangs grow out so she can get the loose hair in a pony. Don't imagine there are many children that haven't tried the cutting at least once.

Thanks to everyone who has offered prayers on Missy and Bill's behalf. Just heard today about another Prayer Group that is praying for Missy. We appreciate that so much.

Here are some random photos from Christmas Eve. Hmmmm....something else to figure out.......how to group the pics!
