Up date on Anja

A week from tonight Anya will be home with her new Mom, Dad, and big brother. There have been so many glitches. Twenty four hours of anxiety then problem solved, then another problem and so on. Too many to try and explain here. Things are really looking up now. Tamara was able to pick Anja up on Monday and they spent 3 days in a small room in the hotel in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. A get acquainted time!! They were flying to Moscow tonight(our time) to meet up with Bill and Soren who left home Monday night. Their plane was late so the hotel didn't honor their reservation. Their guide called another. Only the Presidential suite avaiable...$2,600 US money!!
They ended up staying with a retired couple in their apartment...the man had worked for a Ministry that was involved with exchange programs. He spoke good English. That was quite an interesting good experience for them. Soren even liked the food they served although he knew where the McDonalds and Subway were before he ever left MI!! There luggage was lost too...they have gotten it now.Tam has to take Anya for a physical right from the plane and then there are more places to go for paperwork.

Cheerios were new to Anja and she loves them. Tam also introduced her to juice boxes and she got the hang of it right away.

It is Soren's 12th birthday tomorrow...HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOREN!

We are so anxious to meet them all at the airport next Wednesday. What a relief it will be to have them home. I know it will be a very emotional time.

It is such a shame that they have so many hoops to jump through. She is a gorgeous little girl. We will all breathe a sigh of relief once all are reunited back here.

Happy birthday to Soren. This will be one he remembers forever.
